Dr. Jogomaya Paul, the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), submitted the proposal for the establishment of a Skill Hub (a vocational training center) at Sapatgram College under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 4.0) in April 2023. Following the approval of the project by the NSDC on May 19, 2023, the Skill Hub was formally inaugurated at Sapatgram College. The Skill Hub offers vocational courses in the following job roles: Self-employed Tailoring, Professional Makeup Artist, Electrical Technician, and Senior Associate DTP. Till date, the Skill Hub has successfully completed seven batches and awarded certificates to 134 candidates. Currently, classes for an additional four batches are ongoing.
